Web Developer Learns a Few Things

WOW! We just finished an exciting, learning weekend at WordCamp Atlanta 2016. Like I mentioned in my previous blog post, WordCamp Atlanta is a weekend filled with tools, tips, community for like minded people who want to improve their WordPress website. It may be a user who just wants to learn how to manage a WordPress site, it may be for a web developer who wishes to improve their skills, and it may be for a full blown design agency who wants to learn what they don’t know.

I am amazed that when I look around the room that many of the people who are from the Atlanta area may be my competitors but this weekend we are all on the same team. We are not web developer vs web developer competing for that great web development project. We are not freelancer vs web developer company. We are newbie vs experienced person. We are all working together to make better websites, make our clients more successful, and make our companies better.

I even met some other web developers from the Atlanta area who I plan on keeping in touch with. So you may be asking how does this relate to my prospects…. Education is critical and we cannot do it in a vacuum. As a web developer it helps me to be around other web developers whether from Marietta, Atlanta, or Nashville to grow and learn how to best utilize WordPress for my customers. And hopefully in the midst of the weekend I was able to help someone else learn something from my experience as a web developer.

If you are a web developer I would highly recommend you seek out a WordCamp if you like WordPress development. Even if you are an end user of WordPress I would highly recommend getting in your car and driving to the next closest WordCamp. In either case you will gain not only some new knowledge on WordPress development but also gain some new friendships and contacts.

And if you are  looking for a new website or having your website rebuilt please feel free to give i360 Group (located in Marietta, GA – close to Atlanta) a call at 770-973-3915 to learn more how we can architect a website solution that fits your needs. We have been in the website development business for over 17 years so we have seen a few things and can bring that knowledge to the table to assist your business. We are located in Marietta GA but we do have clients all over the country. We specialize in web development and content management strategies and would love to talk to you.

P.S. If you are reading this late at night or the weekend please feel free to complete our Contact Us form as well! We look forward to growing the web developer community over the next year before the next WordCamp Atlanta.
